Hey i started my car, my check engine light popped on, and my stock boost guage doesnt move, and my car is running so rich its rediculous, it literlly burns my eyes, also its just running like complete azz now, it was perfect when i turned it off, it seems like something popped off or blew?, idk , anyone know where the stock boost guage hookup is?, where the wires go, or to what sensor?, or what should i do?

ok i hooked a laptop up to my datalogger and 3 ecu errors came up, Airflow Sensor, Air Temp Sensor, and Barometer Pressure Sensor, how could all these have gone bad in 1 second?, do i need a new mass airflow sensor?, like the whole thing?, i called for one they wanted 400$ for it at an autopart store, anyone know if this is the exact problem?

Either clear them with a logger or try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Are you using TMO software or DSMlink?

Check to make sure your MAS connector didn't fall off. Also do a boost leak test. For the CE light, it is probably related to your O2 sensor because of how rich you are running. Boost guage? I would just get an aftermarket one because the stocker is for looks only. If all else fails, make sure your ECU Caps aren't leaking.

Good luck

well i had 3 ecu errors, Airflow Sensor, AirTemp sensor, and barometric Pressure Sensor, so if you can think of what caused all 3 of those to go bad then i can change it, i figured by those 3 things going bad its the MAS, cause arent those all in the mas?

i do have an aftermarket boostguage, i do get boost, but hence the fact why would my stock boostguage fail?, could that be caused by the MAS that maybe gone bad?

if u mean the plug that has like 6 wires connected, then yes it is connected

The MAS connector is located right on the air intake canister. If that is all the way in to the female connector, meaning push on it a couple of times, then make sure the harness is not damaged. Also you can unsnap and snap it back together to ensure you are getting good connection. If all is good then do a boost leak test and post the results here after that is done.

The reason I am harping on that MAS connector is because the symptoms you posted earlier are all signs of a disconnected MAS.

so u wouldnt think its worth buyin another mas?, im suppose to pickin one up tomorow nite for 35$, i tried to unplug and plug it back in a few times, but nothing, is there anything else i can try?, all 3 of those errors are the MAS right?

as for your stock boost gauge not working... it runs a computation directly off your maf, so if the gauge isn't working at all and you got those cel's, it would be safe to assume that either your maf is bad or unplugged somehow and the ecu isn't getting a reading. if you've already checked the connector to the maf and you can get another one for $35, i would just go ahead and get it. if it still doesn't work, pull out your ecu and check for damage.

yea so i bought another mass airflow sensor and plugged it in, nothing changed at all, but the only thing that seems like it could be the problem is , my bov piping is connected, but yet ill hit full boost and it will blow out like the bov pipeing was taken off, it makes the swoosh sound when i shift, im still runnin really rich and boggy, but in 1st and 2nd it will pull really hard still, but really choppy down low, i mean i smoked a G35 while im runnin like crap, so idk if there could be a small leak in the bov or the pipeing?, would that make those check engine lights come on? also when i changed the mas i didnt put the canister back on, so its an open filter, i dont think that could be making the sound when i shift, it just sounds like when i shift it releases air from somewhere, but im still wondering how that could make my CEL come on, with those 3 errors?

LOL! Coolant temp sensor not being hooked up will cause those codes to pop up too!! I had that happen on my 4g37 when I had it back in tha day. It made the car so hard to start when cold, you had to crank it over about 5 different times, then rev to make it stabalize. Make sure your coolant temp is hooked up, it can cause those three codes as well.

i just replaced my coolant temp sensor, i had an ecu error of it saying it was bad, then i replaced it and everything was good till now, why would my car sound like its releasing the bov air? could i have something wrong with my wastegate?

yea when i turn the ignition the stock boost guage moves , then it goes back down when i actually start it

Then the boost gauge circuits work.

Have you checked the sensor +5 and ground circuits? Usually you would have a TPS CEL also but perhaps the harness is damaged.

Make sure that pin 4 (green/red wire) on the MAF has 5v and that pin 6 (green/black) has continuity to chassis ground. While your there make sure pin 3 (red wire) has 12v.

my car started making the bov sound after i removed the canister from the air filter. i dont think its anything to worry about.

Im getting those 3 codes also I cant figure it out, had the maft on and tryed a 2g mas still same prolbem and inspected the ecu, it was good any ideas?

Not to bring this up from the dead but just installed a safc and checked my ecu to check if it was a eprom. After the install I started my car and it is running very rough. I notice my stock boost guage isn't working now and I am breaking up from 1-5 psi and up at about 6k rpm at 16psi. I checked the wiring for the safc and all is fine. At first I figured ecu was reseting cause I just disconnected the battery but now I'm getting worried. Any Idea what could be wrong guys?
