my oil pressure goes almost off the chart when I'm running at 3k rpm for over like 5 mins or boost at all really. I'm still stock and only have the stock gauges any help would be great. I'm trying to get all these lil problems lined out so i can start modding :toobad:

Buy an oil pressure gauge.

Then you'll see true readings. If you search you'll find what people run for oil pressure with various mods and suchs

I just recently noticed that I was running about a 1/16" of a inch below the top oil pressure line on the gauge.
I usually run about an 1/8" below the top line while on the freeway cruising around 80 or so.
I also noticed that my car felt a little slower than usual.
I did a boost leak check, opened my oil cap, and it sounded like a hurricane was ripping through my Valve Cover.
I by-passed the PCV and plugged the hose from the intake manifold, did another boost leak check removed the oil cap, and all was quiet.
I removed the PCV and blew into it from the Intake Manifold side, and sure enough air was passing thru the wrong way.
The bad PCV was allowing boost to enter the Valve Cover directly from the Intake Manifold.
I replaced the PCV and now my oil pressure is right back where it's supposed to be....

ddavisaf, u in the air force? off topic but i was stationed at Scott 4 years ago, and i'm going to check that pcv to see whats up with that other wise i'm just getting an aftermarket gauge

Yeah, stationed at Minot AFB North Dakota.

Wow I thought that the above post was a follow up on the problem, LOL
Regardless it's a good post with good advice.
