Here we go, ok my car goes there about a month ago for an idle problem and a clutch slave cylindr problem. before it went there it ran fine except for an idle problem and a clutch slave cyl problem that i knew was leaking then problems just all multiplied out and everything broke clutch just gave up and thier was no pressure in the line at all when we tried to bleed it.
i have a 6bolt and i didnt have time to deal with the problem because i was still in college at the time so i just had it towed to ======= to have everythign fixed at once and they replace the clutch slave cyl and said the clutch is fine it shifts fine in all the gears but grindes a little bit in 3rd but that was because the master is leaking a little bit, so i said ok ill replace that and they half fix the idle problem saying it needs a inake mani gasket. so i go to pick up the car this past tuesday and i pay for everythign and i go to drive the car home and the car wont even go into gear, engine starts clutch feels wierd. So i start car and try to put it in gear and it grinds like it doesnt want to go in gear so im liek what the hell. So i go back and tell them and they said it needs a mastar as well and im like well u said it was drivable just grinds a little in 3rd and blah blah bull shit from them saying that the car has never been driven,so im just like replace the master cyl. They call me up thrusday and said that they replaced it and it still didnt help that much and said they droped the oil pan and measured the thrust bearings and that its past service limits and the engine has crank walk and im like wtf it came there with no crank walk. and it leaves with it and i get the car towed home yesterday and i fiddle with it today. I look at the oil pan bolts and thier all gressy and grimy like they were before the car went to them so they lied about dropping the oil pan. I show my dad whats going on and i go to push the clutch in so he can see the slave cyl move and i go to push it and all you hear is snap and the clutch fork snaps on the thick end and before it snaped it felt like something was holding the clutch fork up like u couldnt push it to the floor. I dont know what to think hear. Extreme motor sports has lied to me on 2 occasions The motor and clutch comonents have 15K on them. What do u all think

Thanks
Dan

I have looked and searched a little bit and i came up with. My through out bearing on the clutch fork could of siezed to the transmission shaft is this correct??

I think you probably aren't majoring in English at that college of yours.
Had you measured the crank end-play before? Do you have any clue if it was in spec or not?

Your car needs repairs. It won't be any better without them.

Leave out the shop's name in your future posts. And don't try using "u" for "you".

Well I did the crow bar trick on the crank pulley and it would not move at all. Just kept bending the plastic timing cover back. Sorry bout the grammer. I thought i put the shops name in there cuz they say they are the best or thats what I thought when i talked to them.

So for the clutch problem do you guys guys think that its a problem with the thoughtout bearing or soemthing else inside of there to cause the fork to break?

Thanks
Dan

tranny is half way out. Got a snag on getthing the axles out. the tie rod bolt turns with the nut. Any ideas on how to hold it its not enough to grip onto with pliers or channel locks or vise grips. I had to quick because of light issues, maybe u guys can give me some insight on a trick or another way to get the axles out. I have already removed the top ball joint and the fricken end of the axle wont clear the spindle.

Thanks guys

Axles are a bi***. You are going to have to fight with those nuts and bolts to get them out but good luck! wd 40, strength and patience will be needed.

found the problem guys. some of the clutch fork is grined away and the thoughout bearing is like in 5 pieaces. Ill post pics later on tonight

got a couple of ?'s how much do u torque the pressure plate to the flywheel. And how do u know its on right.

Thanks guys

um id say get a chiltons manual.

21lbs for the pressureplate to the flywheel and should be 90-110 lbs for the flywheel to the crank. they all need to be tighthen in a star pattern a little bit at a time. the shop might hae done this wrong which would cause the pressure plate and such to not sit right.

na thiers nothing wrong with the clutch or plate i just took them off while i was in the tranny to check wear on them and i forgot to make a mark on the alignment of them. Haynes says 14ft lbs for tq spec. It just seems a little on the low side i thought. Im just making sure. im talking about the pressure plat has 3 different ways it can light up with the alignment dowels. How do u know which way is the right way im wondering is all.

Thanks Guys

bungee cords are awesome 3rd person when your trying to get the tranny lined up with the splines on the clutch plate. Defiantly helped me out alot. I just hooked them up to my hood :D

all my problems are sovled after an intake mani gasket and a new clutch fork and throwout bearing life is good to me now. My engine runs great now, time for some dsmlink tunning.
