Hey guys i wasnt sure where to post this thread so i posted it the newbie section. I have a question about a dejon setup, if anyone is running this setup you can help me.Dejon Blowthru UICP, 16g LICP, and VPC type intake
My question is in the picture and on dejons site they say the intake requires angling, in the picture they provide, look at the arrow by the intake, the filter doesnt look like its on very tight, its at a weird angle. Anyone running this setup can you tell me whether or not this setup is a pain to deal with, like i said it looks like the filter can fall right off the intake pipe. Sorry for the long thread and thanks for your help.

Dont worry, its not a big deal. Its a blowthru setup so its not like you'll have a boost leak in that area. At the WORST, you can suck in a bit of dirty air.

The angle isn't too bad, just clamp down the hose clamp tight and it will seal just fine.

Well i wanted to make sure its a tight fit, i dont want to suck in anything dirty. Im not dumping all this money into the car to suck dirty air into it. But thanks for the reply.

It isn't rocket science. If you tighten down the clamp correctly, IT WILL NOT suck in dirty air. Your airfilter doesn't even filter 100% of the dirt in the air anyway. Its not a big deal, tighten down the clamp, look at the area, and make sure its sealed.

Don't sweat the small stuff. If it really bugs you that bad, get 2 hose clamps. If you look at the pic closely you can also see that the rubber end on the filter is flexible enough to allow it to stretch. How do I know this? I have the same type of filter and it flexes without problems.

Again, it will be fine.

Yeah i understand how do install it, i was just making sure since they say it has to be angled and it wasnt designed angled, know what i mean? I guess im just anal about the small stuff, thanks for your help.
