Ok folks heres the deal. no oil leaks (other than the usual ones known to dsms) belts have all been replaced this is a front wheel drive 92 turbo talon just been through a bottom end rebuild. I took it to the track last wednesday and i deflated the tires a bit so I could get traction, i have not yet inflated them back up will do so today.

My problem has the following characteristics

ONLY WHEN ACCELERATING the car vibrates ONLY between 3k and 5500
If im driving and i push the clutch in the vibration stops
If im accelerating and stop accelerating and just leave the car doing 3500 rpm the vibration stops

Almost sounds like some sort of tranny problem or something any advice???

I have the same problem.... I think its the cv half shafts (axles). Only vibrates while accelerating. I'm putting new ones on tonight. i'll let you know. Oh crap... your fwd, don't know if this still applies then.. probably not.

Dumb question...how do realign the balance shafts? I thought it was like transmission or something Balance shafts ould do that all the way through the rpm range, and it just started happening last week. I had the bottom end rebuilt like 4 months ago. Why would the balance shafts come out of alignment now? I was almost wonering if my tranny fluid was low ro soemthing.
