ok so this is a newbie question, and i didnt want to get flamed in the other tech forums, sooo here goes...
Right now, I am currently getting a lot of ill-tempered judgement about what I am doing considering my tuning and fuel mangaement. I was wondering if anyone with a similar setup, and familiar with a SAFC could give me a few pointers on what I should be tuning ratios to properly, and what to avoid. Im getting frusterated b/c everyone says different things, while also not being familar with tuning using an SAFC. im new to tuning and would appreciate ANY possible help. Thanks for the support. Heres my current setup:

FP Big T28 Turbo ported (T3/T4 50trim, ported exhaust manifold and o2 housing, BR downpipe, Apexi N1 cat-back, test pipe, Dejon Tool UICPs, 1g BOV, Dejon Tool Intake Pipe, TurboXS boost controller, GReddy TT, Apexi SAFC, 550's I also have a pocket logger, but unfortunately lost the program, and never used it

ALOT of people have told me that I am running to much of a turbo with my setup, without any head work, and having stock cams. Thanks for any help. :dsm:

Your fine engine-wise, dont boost above 18 psi. Also, look into getting a bigger fuel pump as well as an exhaust temperature guage before you really get into tuning. 550s flow 20 percent more than stock, therefore running at negative 20 across the rpms at high end would make it stock trims. Until you get a bigger fuel pump (to make sure youre getting the amount of fuel you need), exhaust temperature guage (to see if youre to lean, temps will be around 1600 F if you are), and the datalogger program set you trims to around negative 18-20, keep psi low, and dont get on it much. We really cant help you unless we have your fuel trims and unless you get the mods you need.

I actually had to run the same way until I got a bigger fuel pump. I set negative 20 across on high end and I ran "OK" until I got it really tuned with a logger.

I have a 50 trim with similar mods to yours excluding injectors, I will be getting 680's. The engine will be fine. And I would keep the boost around 11 or 12 until you get the datalogger going or a dyno tune. That's what I will be doing.

BTW, we can only run up to 18psi with a 50 trim. I thought with proper tuning 22psi is possible?

Without fmic, great tuning, and race gas I wouldn't attempt it on a 7 bolt. You could push out 19-20, but I wouldn't recommend it. Besides its only 2-3 more psi and it's not going to make or break your 1.4 mile time. Personally, I would rather play it safe than sorry.

Oh, nvm, I have a fmic, will get it dyno-tuned, and will be running 94 octane, not race gas, but helps.
