Just put in a wally 190, got her running, everything seemed perfect. Drove around that whole night, and to work the next morning. When I came out from work, the car wouldnt start. It reved like it wanted to, but wouldnt. I went back later on, unhooked everything, hooked it back in and got it started. On the ride home it acted like it wanted to die a few times as well. What's going on?

Hey, another problem huh?

1. Make sure you used the new oring which should have came with the pump. Check and make sure there are no leaks any where.

2. Check all electrical connection, you might have a loose connection some where.

Good luck.

Yeah, I'm never one to lack a problem when it comes to DSM's... The only thing I was a little skeptical about was the fitment of the spacer/o ring/cap for the new pump. I used the spacer from the stock pump, the new o ring, and the new cap, but there seemed to be a bit of loose space in between the three. They just didn't seem to fit as snug in comparison to the old pump. Would this be the problem? There are definetly no leaks, and the only electrical connections I unplugged were the harnesses from the top of the pump, which were reconnected.

I think that's normal, once you slid it in everything should fit tightly. You did remember to oil or spit on the oring right? Did you check electrical connections inside the tank as well?

Yeah, did all that. The car hasnt given me any problems since the last time it died at work. What should my idle be at?

Okay, thats right where I'm at. Hopefully it won't give me anymore crap. Thanks again for the rescue oldman. I'm sure you'll see me posting again in the diagnosis forum soon.
