Alright here's the problem, whenever I go over any kind of bump in the road especially speed bumps or driveway gutters theres a realy nasty loud squeek coming from what sounds like the front of both the left and right side of my suspension. What in the world could this be? How do I go about narrowing down the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yea both sides were done. i was just outside pulling up and down on the wheel well to get the squeek to happen. it almost sounds as if its coming more towards the center of the car on both sides rather than right next to the suspension. im stumped and it's driving me crazy. any more ideas?

Had something similar. Turned out to be the Sway Bar bushings. You can test this by taking off the bushings and wrap 4 or 5 turns with electrical tape and then put them back on. If the squeak goes away like mine did, go spend $12 and get some new ones for a permanent fix.

yup...talon, they were both replaced in '01 but i think theyre fine. heh.

thanks for the suggestion about the sway bar but did you mean the stabilizer bar? i was thinking it was coming from there or the compression lower arm or the lateral arm. i just got the right upper control arm replaced and the left upper checked out fine. im going to check out the stabilizer bar and have an update in a couple days. in the meantime any more suggestions are welcome.

Yes sway bar/stabilizer bar are the same meaning. Usually a reasonable application of silicon spray will quickly resolve the annoying squeek. Try that first, then do your wheel well test, after that go over all the silent blocks (rubber bushings) associated with the control arms.

Keep us posted, and let us know if that solved the problem.

Cheers,
GTM

You guys nailed it with the stabilizer bar! I used some silicion spray on the bushings and bam its cleared up! thanks again guys for the help, it was driving me nuts.

While you are still sane go over door seals, window guides, trunk seals with the silicone. Like WD-40 it has it's place on your condiment shelf.
