I have a 90 AWD turbo with the original engine. I'm doing a timing belt job and the blasted crankpulley won't come off. I pulled out the 4 12mm bolts but did not touch the lrage center nut (the VFAQ makes it seem like you don't have too). Do I need to remove this center large spocket nut/bolt/whatever it is or should the crankpulley just come off with those 4 12mm bolts removed?

I had to use a small ballpeen hammer to get it off. They can be very tough to remove. Keep trying.

you don't have to take the crank bolt out, just the 4 pulley bolts and then tap it off.
