About a month ago I started my car at my buddy's house and it was like -10*F and I went inside to let it warm up. I came out and I could barely see my car, white smoke out the exhaust. I just thought it was cold so I drove it to my girlfriends house, which is about three miles away, and it runs fine, but it smells like oil. I pop hood, and there is oil everywhere. My car was already shut off so I could not tell where it was coming from. I assumed headgasket. From there, I decided to take my chances and drive it home, about 10 miles away. I drive it home, carefully watching my temp and oil pressure gauges and make it home fine. I didn't have time the last month to work on it, but today, I towed it to my buddy's shop and we started to work on it. He doesn't fully think it is the headgasket because we just put my 1G head on about 3000 miles ago and we replaced it then. So, today, we took out the plugs and none of them were fouled and there was no oil on any of the ports on the exhaust side of the head. We both still think it is a headgasket, but are there any other good possibilities? Like a turbo going bad or something else leaking a bunch of oil? Also, most of the oil that leaked was by the thermostat housing and the MAF, hardly any of the other side of the head. Thanks for taking the time to read my thread and thanks in advance for your help.
