i brought a car with a o2 dump, besides being loud it ok.
i just hookup a logger and did some logging, what i notice is that when the wastegate open's up i get some knock. is this normal?
is this because of the extra noise?
i am thinking of putting on a stock housing. any pro and cons?

Alot of people run really loud dumps and external wastegates and i have never heard of the knock sensor pickin up phantom knock from that. Ur wategate opens when u r approaching full boost so it could just be that ur car needs a tune ; not that the sound is messin with ur knock sensor. How much boost r you runnin? what are ur mods? since u already have a logger, do u have a tuning device such as an afc? You should do a wide open log from 3000 to redline or close to it logging rpm, o2s and knock and post it here and we could help u a bit more.

ps: a stock o2 housing will make ur car quiet and slightly hinder spool up. Unless u mind the noise of the dump i wouldnt do the swap...i have a dump and i luv it.
