Well, my idle used to be pretty decent. no stalling or anything.

I installed a set of HKS 264/272 cams - and now I'm having some major problems. The car doesn't seem to "catch" the RPMs from dropping off, and stalling.

Also, while idling she idles VERY VERY low - around 600RPM or so. Before the cams she used to idle around 750RPM consistently.

Basically the problem is this: If I were to nail it to 5k, and then let off the throttle she oulw DEFINATELY stall - everytime. What I have to do is push the gas pedal a bit when she falls to the 1k RPM area or so, and make it catch it myself.

This has caused daily driving to become quite the task, planning out every stop.

Questions:

1) I have a 2G MAS setup going in, will this help with idle/catching at all?

2) I have a Keydiver chip in the mail, with 950RPM idle - will this help?

3) Anything else I can do to help it from stalling, and help the motor "catch" it better?

Any other info about rocking the 264/272 cams on the street? I can't be stalling every stop light! Thanks very much for the space, and an help at all.

Fuel trims are all set:

Low - 105%
Medium - 100%
High - 100%

This is good, right?

I didn't check the resistance on the idle motor. Is there a VFAQ on this? I have a basic voltmeter to use.

Now you mentioned an increase in base idle: I tried adjusting the BISS, and turned it all the way out almost - my car still only idles around 600RPM, below stock...

Thanks for the help man, I appreciate it!
