I am utterly confused with my car right now. First of all, the car is running great. about 20 min ago i drove it and it would feel like it would lose power for a split sec, then come back. kinda like a stutter. but that is not the problem. i would drive it, feels fine then when i come to a stop, in neutral, the CEL comes on and the car runs like utter poo. barely runs at all. I turn it off and start it back up. Runs fine like it had no problems. Come to a stop sign does it again. same thing, runs fine. i get to a stop light, does it again, so i say screw it im going home. I look over the car, find no loose connectors, nothing. I find a tee on one of the selenoid, on the firewall(red dashed lines) with a cap that isn't sealed off completely. Fix that, idle drops to about 800 and seems to run better. But before i did that, i reset the ecu via unplug the battery for 10 min. I cant seem to find any leads to what is wrong. the only thing i notice is the wires leading into the O2 sensor move around at the top. where the four wires go in and that little metal cap moves with it. i dont know what is wrong. please help. and sorry for the novel. thats the best description i can give.

thanks

i will do that, im gonna get a voltmeter or rent a code meter and see. the only problem is that it only does this every once and a while.

No need to rent a code meter. You can put together a cheap 12v LED or 12v Piezo buzzer for less than $5. Since this problem is intermittant, the LED might be a better choice so you can leave it hooked up. When the ECU is fine it will flash out a heartbeat (on-off) and the buzzer would be really annoying. Pin 1 on the DLC would connect to the positive lead of the LED or buzzer. Pin 12 is ground. If you can't find a 12v LED (with an internal resistor) you can use a regular LED and a 560 ohm current limiting resistor. The 1/8" spade connectors like the ones used on speakers will fit on the DLC pins with a little tweeking. This is what most cheap datalogger cables use to connect to the DLC since the real connectors are hard to find.

Ok i finally was able to pull the code and it was 11. now i just need the O2 sensor. Where would the cheapest place online to get an O2 sensor?. Over at kragen, they want to charge like 75 bucks. I dont want to spend that much. much appreciated.
