Okay have a 92 Talon TSi AWD automatic, it has a 14b, starion intercooler and 450 cc injectors. The autos came with 3900cc injectors stock. The car ran fine in Florida, jst crappy idle because it was running rich. Now it is in NY, and it will not start, after being driven up from FL. Tried to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, that didn't help to start it either.

We are going to install an S-AFC(old style), does anyone know what the fuel trims should be at various RPM's with this setup (450cc instead of 390 cc?)

If this does not start it, can the ECU possibly be bad, how are they checked?

Would a datalogger be useful in seeing hy the car won't start?

Do not install the safc until you resolve the problem, it will just make it more complicated to trouble shoot. Check for spark and fuel first and go from there.

Take the ECU out of the center console behind radio. Take the 4 screws off the cover, check the capacitors sticking up from towards the center of the board. Look for any discoloration or signs of leakage. Also the tell-tale "fishy" smell.

Your issue is not the fuel trim, I have 450's, a 14B, and manual cams with an automatic ECU(too lazy to change it out, it's cold outside :D ). My car idles rock solid, drives great, and started this morning when it was -10*F without a problem.

I'd check the coolant sensor if it was starting in warmed weather but not where it's cold. Log it and see what the ECU sees for temperature.

Okay, replaced the battery because it tested low, still wouldn't start.

Then we replaced the spark plugs, they had gas all over them. The car started up right away.

However, now it idles with a loud belt "rubbing" noise, real loud, not a clicking, tick, knock, or whine. This goes till about 2500 rpms when the noise completely goes away. It pulls hard and drives great at 2000+ rpms. It did hesitate to move when I started it one time for a minute from idle, but then it pulled no probs a bit later.

The car has 36k miles on it, as was mentioned before, it's from Florida, did sit around for about a year with startups here and there. Now it is in cold weather, can the belt be loose or to tight and rubbing the timing cover, thats what it sounds like.

Another thing, in FLorida there was no coolant leaking, after it was driven up here, we saw coolant dried up near the hose by the cap, not the coolant overflow tank. The overflow tank was near empty.

So since its starting, don't think its the coolant temp sensor, but will log to see.

Also, will check into injector resistor "pack"s.

Going to vidtape the timing belt with audio and post a link here if anyone is good at determining whats going on from audio.
