I have a question. When you replace your timing belt do you need to replace just the long camshaft belt or the camshaft and the balance shaft belt? :dsm:

Balance shaft and timing belt, might as well. If that little one breaks you gotta take off the timing belt to fix it so save yourself some work. It's like $4.00 and only an extra 10 mins of work. I'd get the whole kit, all the tensioners, and all new belts. Mine came to a total around $175.00 online shipped and it's worth not having to worry. One tensioner going bad can cause the whole system to fail. Trust me on this one...personal experience, so do it the right way :thumbdown :thumbdown

I agree...don't just get the belt. Mitsu reccommends to replace all pulleys, tensioners, and belts and thats not something they say just to get money for parts...anyone who's had a timing belt fail will vouch for that. Always get OEM timing belts as well, they work the best.
