spark plug wires??

It's about that time to change out my wires. I'm scared that my wires are going to get stuck because the last time I changed my plugs I didnt use any of those stuff from autozone.. (forgot what its called but its suppose to keep the boot from sticking to the plug)...anyways...is there something I can use to leave overnight or something...thanks in advance!!!

If your going to change the wires, who cares, just yank them off and be done!

I have pulled off alot of really old, brittle, nasty wires and never had one break off. You should be fine. Just don't pull on the wire itself.

You'll probably be able to pull them off OK, but next time don't forget to buy dielectric grease If they look at you funny, tell them you need "tuneup grease" and that should get you pointed in the right direction too.

If you used those silly Autozone wires, chances are they will break. Most other wires will pop off just fine. Don't yank on the wire but on the actual black part that sits on the spark plug well base. Be gentle. If they break, a needle nose will work just fine extracting what remains. Don't use those Bosch Autozone wires. I have always broken them taking them off everytime no matter how carefully I did it.

I now use Accels. They pop right off even with no dielectric grease.
