My friend just dropped his 92 fwd talon off at my house because he can't figure out what is wrong with it. The car does not go into any gear with the clutch to the floor, he replaced the clutch slave cylinder thinking that was it and it did not solve it , he installed a brand new exedy clutch in it and that did not solve the problem either , The only thing I have figured out is that if you jack up the front end of the car off the ground the car will shift and the tires will spin. Im leaning towards an internal transmission problem but I dont know what to think , any suggestions would def. help ,

I currently have the same exact problem. After the engine rebuild I installed an ACT 2600 clutch, I drove it for 62 miles found some minor problems fixed them and then when I was ready to drive it again when everything was fixed it would not go into gear. I pulled off the tranny twice trying to figure out what was wrong and nothing both times. So I welded the clutch pedal assembly hoping that was the problem. I get that all done (a nightmare job by the way) and damn it didnt make any difference at all. So then Im looking at the cluth fork on the tranny as my brother pushes in the clutch and there is still like 1/4 of an inch of travel for it to go so Im like no big deal Ill just extend it a little bit. I stuck a 3/8 to 1/4 ratchet adapter on there and he pushes to clutch, it moves the same exact amount. I try this again extending the rod a whole inch! Same result. At this point after repetitively bleeding the system I am confident the master cylinder or slave cylinder is bad. I have ordered both and will be installing them as soon as I get them, probly tuesday.
