lost 3 gears

dashsided gears are fine but the back gears are not...2,4,r are gone i cannot get them to engage at all. this happened abruptly when i turned my car off. i changed oil yesterday but it was fine after that..i dont think that would mess anything up anyways...i need some help...thanks

No matter what happened to your tranny, itsounds like you're going to have to pull the transmission off. That's what I recommend; pull it off and tell us what you find.....

for me it was the shifter cable. Housing was frayed like a mother where it goes through the dash so it would just flex the cable outta the way rather than shift the tranny.

I definatly agree with mike, I think its your shifter cables.
