hello, please do not tell me to do a search, i have been reading way to much on this today. i can not figure out why my brand new joe p mbc will not work. here is how i have it hooked up. the source (opposite side of the knob) is tee'd into the blow off valve line. the side of the controller is run directly to the turbo waste gate. i plugged the nipple on the compressor and the hole in the intake. i can only boost till 13 psi. i have a boost gauge as well obviously. what am i doing wrong here? i have no vacumm lines coming off of the BCS, although its still plugged in. thanks for your help/patience on a topic i know has been beaten to death

my joe p is hooked up to the wastegate and the LICP thing that comes straight off the turbo (the little penis thing before the lic tube)

i think...i can't remember for some reason.

are u talking about the nipple on the compressor? i heard that works but is more accurate from the intake directly. oh btw i just switched back to stock bov. i know stock bov's leak but could it cause that completely to not boost above 13?

the only reason i switched back was because i sold my hks bov. i am positive i am adjusting it the right way, it goes clockwise. i got it to go from 10 psi to 13. i contacted joe p and he said he thought that the stock bov just pissed it out after that. it makes sense i guess

I read somewhere that the stock BOV is actually a pop-off valve and was designed to open up when pressure is higher than . . . . right around 13PSI. It was designed like this so if the waste gate actuator ever failed to open, the engine wouldn't blow up . . .

So your MBC is probably working just fine . . . if you want to boost more than 13PSI, better get a decent BOV.
