well i was coming home yesturday and i went to pass a car and i was in 4th when i punched it my rpms went to 6k, obvo my clutch was slipping and i could smell it. the car has 108k on it and is completely stock. but then i looked at my master and slave cyclinder and sure enough the master was leaking and the slave looks wet. so my ques is could a leaky master and slave make my clutch slip? i have replaced a master cyclinder on ever car i had but all of those just stock to the ground and that was that. so is this making my clutch slip? on easy accelration its fine and even when i got on it last week it held and the clutch would grab good. so what you think?

I have the same issue, dont know if the cylinders are leaking im gonna go check, but would they cause it to slip or is it something else in the clutch?

I see nobody has responded so let me just say that right now my master is leaking really bad and my clutch doesnt slip one bit. Just my situation though.

well i replaced the master and i wot in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and it didnt slip. so i figured its alright for now.

well i my clutch still slips on the top gears so im gonna be putting int the centerforce dual friction clutch. does anyone have this clutch? how does it work? im putting this in my 96 awd so how long did it take everyone to put a clutch in there car? thanks and info would be apprieciated.

The clutch master would not cause the slip. It would cause you to not disengage the clutch. If it leaks/or bypasses, the pedal would go down but you would not apply pressure to the slave. The slipping is caused by the clutch disc and press plate.... unless for some reason you have your master adjusted such that it is still holding pressure in the line afer you let off the pedal.
The easiest way to know if you clutch isa problem is to give it gas when in a gear slightly too high for the speed you are in. When boost kicks in and the load increases the car will either move or slip the clutch.

well im original cluthc master was releasing high so i thought it was not engaghing all the way. but i had to buy a new one so then i adjusted it and it still slips. thats exactly what i do if im doin 60 and im on a steep him i can give it half gas and my rpms will shoot up and slip so its spent. i was just wondering if anyone had a centerforce in their car and how it worked. thanks for the info.
