well the track day is sat and i wanted to get rdy, ordered a new gasket for the tb to manifold, and got an exhaust mani stud kit, and put on an evo o2 housing, put everything together and it idles poorly, wants to die but doesn't and when i drive it everything is good untill i hit the gas, it accerates slowly but builds boost, the tb gasket is the right one, i already tried the wrong one, maf is plugged in, could it be something clogged the exhaust or something, if i free rev it blows plenty of exhaust and it doesn't stutter, it just feels weaker, like its harder to blow off, any ideas been working on it for a while, i am tired and frustrated, i also have 550cc safc fmic 3" turbo back exhaust. 2g maf and 16g

sorry i was half asleep when i posted that and ina rush, well ive worked on it some more and i think it might be the ignition coil, already replaced wires. and the o2 housing is not all i did, i replaced the gasket between the throttle body and intake manifold. it sounds like it misses alot when i raise and hold the throttle a little above idle. when i take a spark plug off while its running you can see it arc from the coil to the intake manifold.

and its on a 1g fwd manual

So is mine, I used to have this stupid problem where it would run fine when it was cold. But if I shut it down for like 10 min and start back up again it would run on three cyl. until I shut it down and let it cool off completly. Then it would run great again. I dont know exactly what it was but after I lost control one night and ended up in the ditch and flooded the car it cleared up. Like I say I have no idea why it cleared up after that but I havent had any problems like that since. Try just cleaning some parts. Your car is just as old as mine so Id have to say, find a data logger and see what the hell its doing.

yea, one wierd thing is that it accelerates smoothly when i get on it(WOT), its just really slow
