Car suddenly died... tried to start it back up and sounded like no compression?? I thought the timing belt went.... got it home. pulled timing cover belt still intact? weird.... crank it over bottem end turns over but timing belt doesnt move OMG..... never saw this before did the crank sprocket break? very confused

start tearing stuff (timing covers)

if the belt isnt spinning something will be obvious once you start dissasembly

The crank ripped the teeth off of the belt. Now your in for it. Either it was the crank or your oil pump froze. Well, your looking at a definate head rebuild, possible damage to pistons and what have you. Hopefully it wasnt due to any heavy duty detonation or anything.

Let us know what you find out.
