i have no idea what is going on, please help me out

i bought my o2 housing for the only purpose of eliminating boost creep and i still have it hardcore...any ideas?

(mods) big16g, lower and upper intercooler piping, greddy type-s, injen intake, msd wires and plugs, full 3" exhaust no cats

Get rid of that 3"inch DP with that 16g. I had the exact same prob as you once and changed to a 2 1/2"inch DP and instantly fixed the creep. Besides you do not need a 3"inch sysstem with a 16g, 2 1/2" is more than big enough for a big16.

And I hope you allready did a heavy port on your o2 housing.

well i havent ported out the o2 housing because it is bigger than stock...i bought it from slowboyracing...im confused on how a 3" downpipe is going to help, why would that cause boost creep?

my o2 housing is from slowboyracing and is ported out plenty, i did talk to MachV and they said it could be my wastegate not working correctly or like the first reply said my exhaust is so free flowing their is no vaccum to control the boost, so i could change my down pipe maybe add a cat or just go with the monster turbine housing

A well flowing O2 sensor housing is just part of the solution to your boost creep. You need to port out the wastegate passage area in your turbo's turbine housing and get a bigger flapper. Your exhaust (3") is just too well flowing that you are not bypassing enough exhaust through the puny wastegate hole. Since you already have an upgraded O2, port the WG passage and get a 34mm flapper door for the WG. I hope that makes any sense. :thumb: That will solve ALL your boost creep.

I don't understand why people spend money on o2 dumps expecting their creep to be fixed on a 16g. You need the bigger wastegate flapper. Do some searching before you waste money on an o2 dump.

so 3 inch all the way out is actually NOT benificial...one of my boys has a gsx, w/ the stock t25 and 3 inch all the way out...thats no good? Whats a good size for the stock turbo

Not really. A 3" will flow better than a 2.5" (obviously) but a 2.5" is not crap as people may lead you to believe. It's supposedly good till 11's. Most people just tend to get into trouble with boost-creep running them. There's an easy cure for that as I stated earlier. If you have a good free flowing exhaust YOU DO NOT benefit with a dump of any kind. :thumb:

The only reason that a car gets boost creep is that the air CONNOT get away from the turbine fast enough.

When you open your system up to allow for better flow you are removing the back pressure that slows down the flow of gases, this in turn allows your car to flow more exhaust.

The STOCK waste gate cannot divert enough of the free flowing exhaust away from the turbine to control your boost so the turbine goes faster then you want it to IE boost creep.

The solution is simple, port the waste gate and have a 34mm gate installed and either use an atmospheric dump OR use an external waste gate. ( you can use the ported o2 housing you got from slowboy also but the forementioned are 100% if you have the port and gate done and your ported housing may still creep)

If you ADD a smaller pipe you are slowing your system down again or if you put a cat in.

Yes a 2.5 is just fine but if you already have the 3.0 you should just have the porting and waste gate added.

Do not do your car half a$$.

well all of you guys are 100% right and i thanks you or all of your replies...im not going to lie i dont know everything, i just assumed that the dump tube would solve everything...i havent fixed the creep yet, but i am prob. just going to save up for the monster turbine housing on Mach V...i could save money and get it ported out but i mine as well go all the way if im this far...plus it will cost me more money to have someone take off my turbine and send it out then have them put a new one on...im sick of doing things myself, i installed my turbo and promised i would never do that again...it was hell...but hopefully other people will see this forum and save some money, i wish i did
