Need help wiring Autometer EGT guage.

I just bought an autometer EGT guage and it has two wires on the back and I have no idea where they go. I know the white/black wires are for the light. The yellow and red thick wires run to the probe on the exhaust manifold but there is a black and red wire also and I have no idea of what to hook them to or what they do. Someone please explain.

well one set of wires is for the lighting

another set is for power that comes on with the car

the last set is for the actual probe.

i think the red/black wires will be lighting for the guage. run those to a source that comes on with the lights.

the white/black sounds like it could be power for the guage. you will need to tap into a power source that comes on when the car is started. i tapped into one of my ecu wires, though im not sure which one, when i needed power for my a/f gauge. the black is a ground and ground it anywhere to metal that goes into chassis.

though i could be mistaken, but im almost sure one set is light, and one set is guage power.

OK, that makes sense. I'm sure the black/ white are for the lights because you can twist the bulb out and those wires are hooked to it. So I just need to ground the other black wire and run the red wire to a 12v source that works only when the car is switched on right? Thanks for the help!!!!
