Car stopped working

I have no idea where to begin looking to fix this. I searched some of the threads on here, but I couldnt tell if any of them applied.

Last night my car was running fine, I just went out to start it and I get nothing. I turn the key, the lights come on so I assume its not the battery, the boost gauge hits 0 but I get nothing from the engine. It makes one click and then theres nothing. I have a datalogger and theres no active codes. In the past, according to MMCd the engine has thrown TPS and Ignition coil codes.. when the ignition coil code comes on (usually while im warming up the car) the idle drops off for about a 3-5 seconds then comes back up to normal and the light goes back off. Occasionally the car has hesitated because of it I think. Im leaning toward this as the possibly culprite. I dont know where to begin looking and its getting too dark to work on it today so I figured maybe I could get some advice for tomorrow.

Stuff Ive recently done to the car:
-Changed the TPS.. car ran fine all this week.
-Starting hooking up some gauges.. tapped the A/F gauge into the ECU but its not powered yet.
-Unplugged my headlight wires so they dont pop up.

But again, this was all this past weekend, car has worked fine for the past 3 days

So yea.. any suggestions would be appreicated. Worked less than 12 hours ago just fine. I might try and push start it if I can find some people.

Check your fuses. Ignition fuse in particular.

Battery terminals.

Battery.

Battery from dead alternator.

^ ^ ^ Fuses.

Ignition switch.

Start with a voltmeter across the terminals. If it's not at least 8, the car is going to ignore you. If it's not at least 13, the battery needs re-charging, and you're either going to face the grief of a battery burial, or the joy of an alternator replacement. Or, both.

ok, Im starting to think its something related to the ignition and battery..

Checked the igniton fuse.. all good.

I went out and played around with the battery terminal connections and turned the key and i got a bunch of clicking, then nothing. I hooked up the dataloggerand it read 12V then drops off when i turned the key.

Screwed around with the battery some more.. tried starting it and still nothing, one click and off.

Hooked up some jumper cables to my roommate car, the car makes a whurring sound and the alternator turns slowly, but its like theres no spark, no clicking noise..

Unhooking the jumper cables, I get nothing at all again.. so Im guessing its something else ignition related, (bad coil?.. I replaced the spark plugs about 3 months ago, previous owner had put in NGK wires) and the battery is somehow crap.. but how I dunno.

Any thoughts?

Sure sounds like a dead battery. How old is it?
I assume you ment the starter turns slowly. Don't spend a whole lot of time looking elsewhere until you are sure you have a good, fully charged battery.

Unless you have a really good set of jumper cables (which most aren't) you can't get enough current across them to start a car with a totally shot battery.
