Hi, so i have been having this major problem i drive a 95 gsx and the car is acting very odd. It will idle somewhat ok for about half a week or less and then suddenly the idle will slowly get worse and worse till the point where the car doesnt idle at all and it dies.(usually half way driving somewhere). I can not figure it out at all! Eventually it will start again and idle very low and eventually idle higher but then couple days later itll drop again. It will drive decent for like a whole week at times but at odd times it just will not work with me. (sometimes by going fast , sometimes for no reason at all) I am good friends with a buddy at a local shop and they have it right now and are looking at it and just cant figure it out. (they first thought it was a battery cable problem, becuase they fixed a part on the cable before and it worked but i think it was a coincidence)

So if ANYONE has any idea what this is PLEEEEASE help me.

all the mods i have are catback exhaust and k&n intake
with the stock bov still

ah almost the exact same problem as me.

one day i start the car and it idles fine, then as soon as i drive it down the street and stop it would idle at 200 and then die a few seconds later. start it up, fine, rev it, fine, drive and come to a stop, die.

after a few times of turning the ac on and off it started to idle correctly after a stop. this leads me to believe its my iac, as it controls the amount of air that bypasses the tb. if the ac is on it lets more in to equal out the load on the engine. after messing with it i think it finally started the iac again and it works fine now. i ordered a new iac from crebotech for 90 and ill put it in friday and see what happens.

i am going to check out the ISC thing i think thats a strong possibility after reading some of the threads.

I read this in someone elses thread
"Sometimes a bouncing idle is because the ISC can no longer adjust fully for the mods you've done to the car."

could that be a problem with my car???? i have the intake and exhaust but still the stock bov and i hit 13psi when i floor it and the boost leaks out i think but all in all is it becuase my mods??

edit
i just found this on vfaq
If you've added any mods to your car that increase airflow through the engine (especially IC pipes or a frontmount IC), you may have a problem with the car stalling, or the idle oscillating up and down when coming to a stop. One of the most common causes is the BISS screw being out of adjustment. Another reason to change the BISS setting is if you have moved to a higher or lower elevation and you are experiencing the above symptoms.

i think this definitly could be the problem so i may check adjusting the biss
