Ok for the longest time ive been trying to figure out why my logger won't connect to my car... I know its registered correctly... i thought i hotsync'd it wrong by using my cradle and not the cable supplied with the everything else, that wasn't it.... I know everything on the OBDII port is fine bc one of my firends was able to put his logger on my car.... I hope someone may have an answer bc I'm all out of ideas... BTW i'm posting here bc i can't get onto the logger forum... This is getting so fustrating i hate :thumbdown  electronics!!!

maybe you got the one for a 1st gen ? or if youhave a 1stgen then you got the info for the second gen , check on that

What do you mean by connect? The plug will not physically connect to the port, or the program will not connect with the car?

If the plug is not connecting, you are either not plugging it in the correct place, or you have a 1g cable. (The 2g's have a black box that connects to the ports, 1g's just have a cable.)

If it is the program not connecting, it may be because you have a 95. Some ECUs in 95's have a problem that will not let them sync correctly with a datalogger. This problem was recalled in 96, but never in 95. This was the case for a friend of mine, so for the time being, until he finds a 96 ECU, he is out of luck. This may be your problem as well.

If possible try to find a friend with a 96 ECU, or even 96-99 for that matter, and try it on his car.

What i mean by connection is that the software is not connecting to the car, i have no problem connecting it to the obd2 port or my pda... i know it's suppose to work bc a buddy of mine hooked his up to my car to check for that and it worked fine. The software is on my pda and it does acknowledge that i am registered and then from there its like the logger software doesn't acknowledge that its plugged into the car the X in the right corner will not go off... could there be a defect in the digital tuning odb cable they sent me bc i tried using both hot sync cable and neither made a difference...? I've been trying to narrow down the possible problems and i do truly think it is that one cable, bc i heard they have a special chip inside them hence the serial # you have to enter when registering... i dunno correct me if any of that is wrong
Thanks
Johnny
