Ok this isnt really a problem but i didnt know where to post other then here cuz maybe its a problem. But on eclipses when u pop the rear hatch, and lift up on it a lil, is it supposed to go up on its own or is it just like mine where u have to lift it the whole way? for as long as ive had my car (4 years) its been lift all the way, just wondering if thats how it supposed to be. Also for those of u in the north during the winter when its REAL cold, ever have ur air pump hydrolic thingy ma bobbers fail and not keep the hatch up? mine does when its like teen temps?

They are called hatch support struts. When its new, it will pop up on its own and the difficult part is to close it down. But as it ages it will soften-up and you have to give it a little lift. When you have to hold it up to keep it up, its time to replace them. Those darn rear hatches are heavy :p
