Ok, I just bought a 91 awd tsi from a local board member, i already have a running 92 awd, but the shell is in horrible shape, and i plan on swapping motors, but heres the thing, the 91 i got has a full motor, and is basically BPU, it turns over, but does not fire off, he said that it had been sitting for almost a year, he cranked it up, drove it around, put fresh gas in it, made it a few days, then it just died. he said that its getting spark to all 4 cylinders, so that eliminates some reason, he changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, and told me hte ecu was rebuilt recently. which eliminates more possibilities, im thinking of maybe a bad fuel pump ? or something not providing fuel to the motor. im gonna throw in a cas and some other small things to see if that helps. any other suggestions would be great. thx

(he said he said)but in this case u dont know if the guy is being truthful or not so check for spark if u dont get it,its dis. check for fuel if u r gettin it or not im thinkin right of the bat ecu.

the guy is a regular on one of my local boards, hes not a liar, and he is dsm competant, he told me the ecu was reccently rebuilt, but im gonna toss my 92 ecu in there and see if that solves anything. hopefully it will, any other suggestions are welcome.
