Went to the track yesturday and while i was racing I would get some backfire. So today i decided to check the plugs. Sure enough they were fouled out. I changed the plugs and wires. After i installed everything i took it for a test drive. When i got on it , it backfired with alot of hesitation. I opened the hood and turned on the car and i could hear air coming from one of the spark plugs. So i tightened it down. No more air but still backfires and hesitates at high rpms. What could be the problem?

The ones that were in were splitfires. So i just replaced them with new ones.

No platinum.....
...........................ngk stock plugs from napa.(or one range colder if heavily modded)

I replaced the platinum plugs with the ngk plugs. No more backfire at high rpms. Thanks for the help.
