Whine from turbo.....

I am getting this weird whine from my turbo. Sounds like a boiling teapot but not as high pitched. I am still pulling to 18 psi fine. No type of hesitation or lag, but just the weird noise. I have double checked all my intercooler piping and made sure they were all tight. Any ideas what could be cause this sound? Oh yeah, no shaft play in turbo either.

Both me and my buddy have this problem. His car isnt as loud but mine sounds like a turbo diesel. It started when I switched my boost controller routing. I have no clue what it is, I would like to think that it is either a boost leak or the turbo's bearings are going. Have you ever boosted your turbo over 20 psi?

is there no problems pulling 18 psi? what turbo are you running? external wastegate?

I had that problem before. I can't say 100% but i think it was a loose oil line on the turbo that was making the noise. I noticed the problem and like a week and a half later my turbo blew because the oil line was loose. Once i replaced it, it was gone.

Big 16G internally gated. My oil feed is ok, not loose or anything.
