I just got done with a head gasket job on my 1990 FWD California Eclipse and when I first started it, it ran fine but leaked oil bad. Pulled everything off the front and fixed the oil leak, but now I get no spark in either cylinder 2 or 3. I just replaced the capacitors on the ecu, but that did not solve anything. One thing I should mention too is that the power transistor wasn't bolted back onto the intake manifold after I finished. Could this have been the problem? Let me know what you guys think. I start school on Tuesday and this is my only transportation.

The transistor not being bolted down "shouldn't" be a problem.. Ideally, the transistor pack should be bolted down to ground it, but some cars run just fine with it not attached. (my 2g with a 1g intake to name one..)

Try swapping out the transistor with a known good one first, Check the coil packs.. make sure that your connections are good, take a good look at the wires as well..

I should also say that I am getting a CEL at idle but not at higher rpms. I don't believe it to be the wires because I measured the resistance when they were out of the car and they were fine. Could it be possible that the CEL is because it's running stupid rich? Thanks in advance.
