Burning OIL

I seem to be burning a bit not to the point where I'm leaving puffs of smoke, but I have a layer of black carbon inside my exaust tip. When I clean it it only takes a few days for it to come back.
I never had this problen as a n/t, so do you guys think my pistons are starting to blow by, or is heat related from the turbo, due to the fact I don't have an oil cooler?

if it is burning oil just lower the boost.

Are you sure the smoke isn't from running rich? Is it black (unburnt gas) or blue (burnt oil)? Carbon buildup usually means your running rich, so some of the gas isn't completely burned up (so it builds up in your exhaust). I'd say try to find a wideband O2 and see what's going on, if your A/F ratio is way off (I'd guess too rich) then maybe pick up an SAFC and tune it.

BTW, HondaStalker, not to be an ass, but could you explain how lowering the boost would stop (or slow down) burning oil? I mean, maybe it does, but I don't see how that would work.

So, please try to confirm if it's oil (just check your oil level, if it's been burning for a week it should be significantly lower, maybe by a quart) or gas (my thinking since you said carbon buildup). Good luck though!

Yes, it turns out I'm running rich, I changed back to the turbo fuel regulator and it runs a bit leaner.
