I've got a 91 Talon AWD. I just hooked up a boost gauge per the many threads on DSMtuners, and Vfaq. I only get to 8psi (stock gauge does not work) on my autometer gauge, and 0 vacuum. SO I look around for possible leaks. I jack up the car and look undernearth and notice under the intake is four hard vacuum lines. Only two of those lines are plugged by hose. There are four hoses down there, but one gets hooked up to a splitter, and the other goes to a plug mounted on the underside of the TB. The two lines go to the top of the TB with a blue line (E). Is anyone elses like this? I looked in my manual, and didn't see anything for it. If anyone is under there car and sees what I am talking about, can you please fill me in? I see NO LEAKS My car only has 73,000 miles on it. Doesn't leak oil or transfluid. The brakes and PS feel rough when compared to other car I own. I've cut the rivets off my air filter box, installed a K&N, hacked my MAS, and backed out the big plastic screw in the MAS. That's all I got so far. I should be at least 11psi.

Your car wouldn't be running if it was creating 0 vacuum. I think you tapped the wrong line for your boost guage. If you tap the other line, you get both vacuum and boost readings.

8psi doesn't sound that odd, I've heard a lot of stock 1Gs are like that.

I'm not totally understanding you here. I know what you're talkin about when you are saying the 4 hard vacuum lines. Those are the ones connect to that intake manifold bracket. But you are saying only 2 are plugged? Plugged as in like plugged up so nothing can go through? And what are the other 2? Just nothing hooked up to them at all? Clarify a little please. And if you go to www.taboospeedshop.com they have a diagram of the stock vacuum line paths.

Two of the hard lines are hooked up to hoses, while two are not. It looks like the other two of them should be hooked up to two more hoses but are just sitting there with nothing on them. I'll check that site now.

first thing to understand....and i hope you already know this is you cant see air leaks. Nothing comes out except, well, air. So you definitly only tapped a source that get boost....tap the fuel presure regulator line. Again vfaq.com . good luck with eveything

Where I had it spliced into was on the fuel pressure control solenoid bottom hose. Article said top hose has blue line and bottom is solid black. Tap into solid black, so I did. I moved it over to the purge control solenoid bottom hose and it works great.
