Differential issues

I just got some tien ss coil-overs on my car, and I was taking some turns for the first time today. In the apex of a left turn I heard a loud clunking noise. It was maybe 4 clunks in quick succession. I immediately thought that I had broken a differential or something, but to be honest I really don’t know what that noise was.

Now that I think of it, I have heard it before. On occasion if I back up to quickly I will hear a similar clunking noise.

What is going on inside a cv joint? Have you heard them making loud clunking noises before?
