I did this clutch install perfect and have done them before.Everything is torqued and system is bled along with that extended slave rod from Taboospeedshop. The clutch engagement point feels right but seems like it wants to chatter when only taking off slowly and or up my driveway is worse.I havent got on it at all or even been around the block and it feels like shit.I dont know what could caue this or even anything i could check besides engagement point and i changed that around with the same results. Help :(

Did you figure it out? I have the same issue with the chatter and the exact same set up. I havent even driven mine and it chatters like crazy.

Somehow ...my slave cylinder was letting air in the system, but wasnt leaking.I replaced it as a last resort and now it works but still shudders a little when i downshift. My question is, With my clutch peddle pressure changing all the time beacuse of a tiny leak in my slave. Was i burning my flywheel with the disc the whole time, when i would be driving and the clutch would go to the floor or act up intermittent? I was in my break in period...Im afraid i burned the crap out of the flywheel since this was going on.What do you guys think? Would air in the system and clutch pressure changing around burn it really bad? Or was pressure off of it when the clutch pressure went? thanks for the inputs.

is there a fix for clutch chatter? is it bad for any tranny parts? i also just put a 2600 and fidanza flywheel on my 2g awd and it chatters.

peace

I only get chatter when i down shift now. I dont know if this will go away or not.I think since my slave cylinder going on me and my clutch pressure being jacked,That i might have burned the flywheel.I dont want to take it all back apart though.I guess if it gets too bad i could order another flywheel suface area for the fidanza and put it in.Im thinking thats what cause mine along with a very small leak in my slave.I just did a rebuild on it for $13 .

Interesting. I am assuming that if you hear the chatter when you down shift that it is pretty loud. Did this by chance start as soon as you installed the new flywheel and clutch? What about your rpms, do they drop at all when the clutch is pushed in? I am thinking with the new flywheel that I may have to adjust my biss screw a little to lower the idle. It seems to stay at 1500 or so and as soon as I turn the car on it jumps to 2k rpm for a few seconds....I think this is because the engine has a lot less rotating mass with the stock heavy flywheel and balance shafts...
