This sounds simple but i don't know whats goin on.

When my car starts boosting it stutters, not bad,but its not good.

Any ideas?

Ive taken the BOV off and ran a hose so i didn't need a BOV just to see if my turbo was spoiler right. (So im not boosting). Its running fine so if thats any help.

Just don't know what the stuttering is, please help.

LOL you did what with the BOV.......

did you just change your plugs?? if so make sure they are gapped down. sounds like you might be blowing the spark out under boost man.

Its hard to explain, it would be easier if i had a pic.

What i did was take out the BOV and just connect the hose so my car would idle correctly. Hope that makes sense.

I don't boost when i do that but i don't stutter either and my turbo spoils fine.

The stuttering is probably from you running lean. When you boost, you put more air into the engine. Has this stuttering always happened? What kind of mods have you done? What mods were on the car when you bought it? It might be as simple as correcting the gap in your plugs as rsr93 suggested (even though I don't agree with the whole "blowing out your spark" statement). You should take the time to fill in your car's profile in your information so we can help you better.

well im sorry to hear you do not agree with my "blow out your spark statement" this still could be a simple fix for you DSM4me44. boosting with to big a gap can "blow out" the spark and or prevent the spark from jumping the gap due to the increased compression(boost) under high loads. if this is even your problem i dont know. its just a guess. regap your plugs and leave the BOV hooked up for now to see if that solves your problem and then you can work from there.

I guess I should have added some info as to why I don't agree to the spark being blown out. The spark should not be ignited until the mixture has been compressed, which also means the intake valves have closed, meaning that the turbo isn't ever blowing over an ignited spark plug. You are correct when you say that too large of a gap can make it difficult/impossible for the arc to occur on the plug though.

I just fixed a similar problem--when I accelerated slowly...like a sleeping grandma driving...my car would run fine. When I accelerated at a rate near or at the boosting point, my car would stutter and jerk around like a 12 yr old learnign to drive stick!

It ended up being my spark plug wires--one of them had a crack in the insulation and was grounding out on the valve cover. Check your spark plugs and wires first, IMO. Replacing them is a good idea, and worst case scenario you have a newer and more reliable spark setup!
