i have a 96' gs eclipse with a 2.0dohc.how can i tell if my rod bearings are bad and need to be replaced?
i appreciate any help guys.

does it have a knocking noise at certain rpm levels coming from the bottom end???....if you want to check the bearings the only way is to remove the oil pan, remove the bearings and look at them/measure clearance with a product called "plastigauge"(r)...your favorite parts store will have it or can direct you to someone who can get it if they are actually a real parts store and worth a sh*t........ :dsm:
