Well i finally found the time to work on my 1g, i'm getting fuel but no spark, i basically narrowed it down to a bad coil however upon removal of the coil i cannot get the damn thing out, i removed the 3 mounting bolts as the haynes manual stated, i can't see any wiring still connected but it seems like there something still holding it in like on top of the intake manifold? any advice on how to remove it or did i miss a step? Also could the ICM (ignition control module) or Power Transitor also revail a no spark issue, i think im just going to start with the coil hopefully it all works out... Background info was driving and the car just shut right off, cranks healthy and the Tbelt was intact so i knew it wasn't that, i pulled off the return fuel line off the regulator and that had fuel coming out tested spark and got none out of cyl 1 and 3 anything else i should be checking?
Thanks
Johnny

There's one bolt you can't really see underneath the intake. Use a 6" extension and come in from the driver's side. Just one plug in to disconnect and everything should slide right out.

that bolt is not on top of the manifold but on the side back of the coil closest to the firewall...?

If 2 fires, 3 should fire as well. Likewise with 4 and 1. This dual coil setup is a wasted spark system. Meaning, when a coil fires, both plug wires going into it fire at the same time.

you might have to remove the fuel rail, I had the same problem with not being able to get it out so I removed the fuel rail and out it came. :laser:
