okay, for the past 3 or 4 months i've had problems with the dang clutch. disengagement problems mostly. the last clutch i put in was an ACT street disc. and the hub sheared right outta the middle (literally) after only 50 highway miles.

well, i just got rid of the whole ACT setup and went with a stage 2 eClutchmasters pressure plate and 6 puck disc. i've replaced the clutch line with a braided one, new master cylinder (and then replaced it again just to be sure), new flywheel, new clutch fork, new pivot ball, new slave cylinder, and even replaced the whole pedal assembly cause i found out the other one was worn slap out and welding it didn't work. i dunno what else i need to replace (kinda running outta things to change ya know?).

anyway, here's the deal. i just got it goin last night and everything was workin fine. i threw in my GT-13 turbo as well so figured it'd be a good day for a test drive and tune. 1st half of the day was fine. then for some reason the pedal was adjusting higher up off the floor. then the next time i press it, it's to the floor again. went off and on like this all day. thinkin MAYBE it needs to be bled. i dunno. my starter just went out on my way home as well. won't engage it the flywheel at all. so i had to push start it. on my way home, if i pressed in the clutch, it would squeel like LOUD!!!! so just rev matched the gears the rest of the way home. almost like something is rubbing that isn't suppose to be. fingers on the pressure plate hitting the clutch disc maybe? and anything above 60 i'd hear a howling noise. if i let off the gas it would go away. hmmmmm......

i have the correct stepheight and all so i dunno. and sometimes during the day if i was at a low rpm the car would vibrate some. if i pressed in on the clutch or up the rpm's it would go away. but it was off and on like that all day. i don't have a clue what's going on with the dang thing but it's been 3 months or so that i've been dealing with this problem and i'm sick of it. any ideas from anyone would be very much appreciated. thanks!

clutch down releases the bearing so the assembly is doing nothing but spinning so generally that means a tranny problem. Have you checked the pilot shaft, it could be out of wack causing your clutches to shred. The hydraulics will just make it hard to shift if they are bad, so those should be fine especially if you replaced them. Also make sure the pilot bearing gets replaced too, sometimes it is overlooked and if that is bad that will cause all sorts of problems. I work at a clutch shop and have see it before ;)

okay, let's say it's the tranny. what would be causing the pedal to go to the floor one time, and stop an inch off the floor the next? sometimes i get a squeeling noise when i press in on the clutch almost as if the fingers on the pressure plate are rubbing against the springs on the clutch or something. dunno if that's what it is. just a guess. doesn't do it everytime though. i've been searching for about the past 2 hours and finding NOTHING!!!

afraid to drive my car at the moment not knowing if i'll break something or not. can't afford to throw down money for parts that won't solve the problem (like i've been doing).
