Finally got a fuel pressure gauge hooked up so it won't leak. Now I need someone to tell me wtf is causing me to lose fuel pressure. Fuel pressure at idle seems fine, somewhere around 40-45 psi (gauge isn't real accurate under 50psi). Somewhere around 3grand, the fuel pressure starts to go down real fast, until it finally runs out of pressure around 4.5-5grand and I get fuel cut. What could cause this? Brand new fuel pump, injectors, filter, and I replaced the regulator with one I got from a friend.

I just checked the voltage at the fuel pump and the voltage does drop, at the same point and rate that the fuel pressure drops. Now, I rewired the fuel pump, so it's not the relay or anything to do with that. I'm thinking maybe a computer problem?

Ok, so I have changed the alternator, rewired the ground for the pump, tested the relay, wired directly from the pump to the battery and none of these has helped. Can someone please help me?

i had a similar problem i didnt hit fuel cut mine just died an never started again. took it to a guy said it was a short in my relay cost 250 bucks im sure i got ripped off but i dont know dick bout electrical in cars

Nope, it's not that. I tested the stock fuel pump relay and it is fine, and so isn't the relay I used in the rewire.
