I wrote in a while ago about my 93 talon nt and I still haven't found the problem. I heard a fairly loud "ckank" sound while driving on the highway and all of a sudden my car has no power/torque. The throttle response is not right either. When the clutch is in or it is in neutral I can rev it all the way up. But as soon as I put it in gear and try to drive the car it just has no power/torque. If I rev it up to 4000 or 5000 rpm and then let the clutch out slowly the rpms drop right away and the car creaps ahead very slowly and eventually gets up to speed if it doesn't stall first trying to get moving.
THINGS I'VE TRIED: New Mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor, O2 sensor, catalytic converter, and just this past weekend put new capacitors in the ECU. So far no change.
What could cause the car to lose power/torque like this? Could it be a fuel problem (filter, pump, pressure regulator, etc. )
I don't know what else to try...someone please help me!
If you have any ideas, please share! Thanks for the help.
