I recently purchased a 1992 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo AWD. The car is in great shape, 94k miles, and runs strong, but there's one problem. The stock cat rattles like hell when I floor it and I was wondering if there is a temp fix for this because I won't be upgrading my exhaust for a month or so.

Thanks

More than likely it is the heat shield above the cat, just pull it off there and that should fix your rattle.

If it's the heat shield on the cat, that should be an easy fix. My brother's cat rattled terribly too, but his was because the ceramic block INSIDE the cat was shattered. If that's the case with yours, you'll just have to replace it.
