Alright I have a frustrating problem after my engine swap was completed. The car is a 95 gsx, swapped with a jdm vr4 galant 4g63 with auto tranny (so it has the smaller turbo). A vaccum elimination was performed, not sure if it matters, but thought I would throw that in there. A little while after the swap I lost virtually all power gains whatso ever. I ran 15.5 in the quarter. Now my turbo has always squeeled at it spooled, but now it has an echo. A whine behind the squeel. It begins at 5 lbs of boost. My turbo spools slow as shit and I don't get a power band until like 4k rpm. I tried playing with my afc to see if it could be tuned out, but there is no way. It doesn't make any difference where I put boost or fuel. The same result occurs. 15.5. A little additional info: all intercooler piping is hard, and I checked the couplings, I have a manuel boost controller that spikes a good 3-5 lbs, and my exhaust is completely sealed up. I think it may be a loose intake manifold, it acts like it's leaking out boost there, which would explain a lot, but before I go pay to have someone do it for me, I would like to see what you guys thought. Any information would be much appreciated.
