hello to everyone i am a new member and i and not to familar with this web yet but i have a 1996 talon fwd turbo and i was driving today and my car shut off then i started it again then it shut off it is getting fuel but it seems like it is not getting any spark i tried to put a screw driver in the plug wire no spark then i tried to put the spark plug in the wire and turn the ignition but still no spark if it is the coilpack is there any signs of it going bad

Get an electrical multi-meter out. Unhook the wires from #1 and #4 on the coil tower and test resistance across them. Should read 10-12k ohms I believe. Repeat for #'s 2 and 3. Anything way above or below this means your tower or pack is bad. Also, test the wires while you have the meter out. They should read around 15k. Hope that helps, somebody correct me if Im off any, Im speaking from Eclipse experience here.

2g TSi FWD. Cut off while driving huh? Did it make any noises before shutoff? Any strange noise when trying to crank it?
