weird smell

i get that every time i drive it. now im not saying just let it go, if it is bad and bugging you, try and fix it, but its been doing it on mine for 9 months. it was originally the VC gasket leaking oil onto the head that produced the burning smell, but after that was fixed the smell was still there. i havent really had any problems related to it tho.

Just an idea:

Drive your car around for 5 - 10 minutes and 35- what ever your sppedlimit is.
Do it at night or in the early morning when it is cool.

When you get home, walk around all 4 wheels and see if one wheel is noticably hotter than the other.

You could have a stuck or non retracting caliper or a wheel bearing problem thats heating the rotor and cooking the pad

Happened in my grandads Lincoln town car, car drove fine no problems no noise but it almost burned me walking by the wheel.

anyway just an idea. brakes smeall a lot like a clutch.
