I've noticed a new, occasional noise. Sometimes (seems when the car is cold) when I start the car and let it sit in neutral I hear a sort of grinding noise coming front the front (left?). It's not very loud but clearly something is going on. If I push the clutch in, the noise stops when the clutch is all the way in. Lately I have heard this a few times when in gear, say cruising out of the parking lot. Any ideas? Should I have it looked at immediately?
thanks!

(It's a 95 NT eclipse)

it is def ur throw out bearing mine did that 2 then i was driving home on the parkway my tranny blew like 1 mont later at 70 mph i don't know how i didn't do a front flip LOL damn i was lucky. then i replaced my tans with a rebuilt jasper trans with 3000 miles on it with lsd now....no more noise def the throw out bearing is it real loud ??:dsm:

Like I said, it's a MT and no, the noise isn't terribly loud. It's quieter than the engine at 2500rpm, anyway.

So whats the throw-out bearing? How easy of a fix is it, or do I need a new tranny?

yes it will always mostly happen when pedal is out when itis in it will disappear. as long as its not to loud not really a problem but if it starts to get real loud then there might be a problem its in the trans so u would have to take the trans out sucks but who knows it might last awhile wou;dn't go to long though :thumb: :dsm:
