sensors on oil filter housing?

Ive search around tring to find out what those sensors do on the oil filter housing. Can anybody help? I broke one of the tabs that hold it in by a screw. what do these sensor do? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

one should be for the oil pressure gauge. the other should be for the low oil warning light. forget which is which, but hope this helps. laters!
