Idle problem

My 91 talon seems a little tempramental, some days the car will idle at like 2200 rpms even after driving 10 minutes or so. Then some other days after the car is warmed up and I'm sitting at a stoplight the car will idle below 1000 rpms.

Background of car: did auto to manual conversion and the water pump leaked a little antifreeze on the alternator other than that the car is stock and seems to be in perfect condition.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I just got the car registered and on the road 2 weeks ago. Thanks in advance
