my car won't start!!

I have a 95 talon tsi awd 5 speed. Pretty much stock.

Just replaced the timing belt and before I put all the accessories back on I want to make sure this is right. All the car will do is crank and crank. It will not start. I know that I am getting fuel because I can smell it and hear the pump running. I also know that spark is fine because I tested both coil packs and installed new plugs. There is currently no exhaust system on beyond the o2 housing. What should I do next?

pull all the plugs out attach the spark plug wires and have someone try to crank it. if you r getting spark on coil 2-3 and not on 4-1 than join myself and four other people i know. i took my car to the dealership, once i hear something i will let u know. that is if it is the same prob.
